"Project 365" is an idea that's been thrown around the internet of doing something, anything really, once a day. By far the most common theme is a photo-a-day. Photojojo
gives a decent description, although a bit "fluffier" that what I'm thinking of. I've seen this done for illustration, writing, and self portraits (as seen on YouTube
, vary the background slightly more and this could be really strong project. I might try it with one of the dogs because they age faster than people), so it's not a new idea. But it's new for me.
I don't promise a photo every day, because I know myself better than that. Almost every day is probably more accurate. I definitely don't promise good photos every day or even close to every day for that matter. I'm thinking of this project as more of a sketchbook of sorts, so you might very well see drawings too. I'm just looking for a way to store ideas to let them grow (or fester, whichever the case may be).
For anyone who's interested in the technical aspects, I'm shooting with a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-V1. For a point and shoot, it's a pretty versatile camera. It definitely feels like a toy after using all the Canon DSLRs at work, but it fits in my pocket, which is what I really need to have any sort of hope at keeping this up.
